Life Annuity Scheme

Senior Manager (Financial Control - Life Insurance Reporting)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to assist in the launching and operation of a life annuity scheme (the Scheme), which is subject to the approval of the insurance regulatory authority. The Scheme will be operated by a new wholly-owned subsidiary of the HKMC and the individuals will be appointed directly by the subsidiary.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To establish and monitor the financial control framework for the preparation of internal and external reporting in accordance with group and regulatory requirements;
  • To coordinate on annual audit, statutory filing and tax filing; liaise with the external auditor and tax consultant for all compliance issues;
  • To monitor the solvency ratio and participate in implementation of risk-based capital regime;
  • To oversee the budgetary control, latest forecast and annual budget compilation;
  • To partner with actuarial team and external auditor on handling accounting treatment for new product, new accounting standard and new regulatory requirements; and
  • To review the UAT result for the accounting entry of the new product and provide recommendation if necessary.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Accounting, Finance or related discipline with a recognised professional qualification;
  • A minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience, preferably gained in insurance industry and/or Big Four;
  • Good understanding of latest accounting standards and regulatory requirements;
  • Solid knowledge in the financial metrics of life insurance business. Strong business acumen with excellent analytical and communication skills; and
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.

Manager (Financial Control - Life Insurance Reporting)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to assist in the launching and operation of a life annuity scheme (the Scheme), which is subject to the approval of the insurance regulatory authority. The Scheme will be operated by a new wholly-owned subsidiary of the HKMC and the individuals will be appointed directly by the subsidiary.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To prepare month-end closing, journal entry, regular statutory returns and account reconciliations in accordance with group and regulatory requirements;
  • To ensure the accurate and timely production of financial statement and ad hoc reports;
  • To support internal and external audit, profits tax computation and filing;
  • To assist in preparation of financial forecasts and annual budget, and perform budgetary control;
  • To monitor operational cash flow and liaise with Treasury team for funding and surplus fund management; and
  • To participate in UAT for the accounting entry of the new product.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Accounting, Finance or related discipline with a recognised professional qualification;

Manager / Assistant Manager (Life Annuity Scheme – Call Centre)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to assist in the launching and operation of a life annuity scheme (the Scheme), which is subject to the approval of the insurance regulatory authority. The Scheme will be operated by a new wholly-owned subsidiary of the HKMC and the individuals will be appointed directly by the subsidiary.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To lead and manage a team of Call Centre professionals to handle enquiries from customers regarding insurance policy related matters;
  • To foster customer centric culture and motivate the team in providing consistent and quality customer service, meeting respective service levels and KPIs;
  • To develop, implement and enhance operational guidelines and procedures to ensure best practice within the Call Centre;
  • To provide support and advice to Call Centre professionals on handling complicated enquiries or concerns; and
  • To report and provide regular updates on operational issues, potential crisis and complaints to management with action plans for service improvement.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder with a minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience in customer service or Call Centre in insurance industry, with at least 2 years in supervisory level;
  • Familiar with policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements for life insurance and insurance professional qualifications is an advantage;
  • Solid experience in resolving customer concerns or complaints is an advantage; and
  • Good organisation and supervisory skills, customer-focused, energetic and able to work under pressure.

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to assist in the launching and operation of a life annuity scheme (the Scheme), which is subject to the approval of the insurance regulatory authority. The Scheme will be operated by a new wholly-owned subsidiary of the HKMC and the individuals will be appointed directly by the subsidiary.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To supervise the team and monitor daily operation including underwriting, new policies issuance, endorsements, premium collection, and annuity payment arrangements;
  • To be responsible for the overall resources planning, incoming policies submission monitoring and backlog control to ensure service standards are met;
  • To develop, implement and enhance life insurance administration policies and guidelines to ensure quality and efficient service deliverables;
  • To manage and support the reporting process for monthly operations service performance, queries and dashboard; and
  • To provide guidance and training to the team to enhance technical knowledge.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder with a minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience in life insurance industry, with at least 2 years in supervisory level;
  • Familiar with policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements for life insurance and insurance professional qualifications is an advantage;
  • Solid experience in policy administration and processing; and
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, strong problem solving skills, able to work independently and under pressure.

Job Descriptions
  • To handle inbound enquiries and resolve customer concerns;
  • To conduct outbound follow up calls;
  • To report issues and customers’ comments to supervisor for service improvement; and
  • To perform ad hoc tasks as required.

 

Requirements
  • Tertiary educated, with insurance professional qualifications is an advantage;
  • A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in call centre, preferably in insurance industry;
  • Good interpersonal skills, strong sense of responsibility, patient and with positive attitude; and
  • Good command of spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).

Candidates with less experience will be considered for the position of Associate.

Senior Associate (Life Annuity Scheme - Channel Development and Marketing)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to assist in the launching and operation of a life annuity scheme (the Scheme), which is subject to the approval of the insurance regulatory authority. The Scheme will be operated by a new wholly-owned subsidiary of the HKMC and the individuals will be appointed directly by the subsidiary.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To assist the team in developing and producing the insurance marketing collaterals;
  • To monitor the performance of distribution partners and channels, and to produce regular report for management review;
  • To handle the channel related enquiries and requests from counterparties;
  • To participate in sales related project and campaign assigned from time to time; and
  • To provide administrative support to the team.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder with a minimum of 3 years’ relevant working experience in life insurance industry, preferably in bancassurance;
  • Solid experience in insurance marketing collaterals preparation and marketing inventory management;
  • Good problem solving, analytical and communication skills; and
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Putonghua will be an advantage.

Senior Associate / Associate (Life Annuity Scheme – Policy Administration)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to assist in the launching and operation of a life annuity scheme (the Scheme), which is subject to the approval of the insurance regulatory authority. Job Descriptions
  • To be responsible for daily policy administration activities including new policies issuance, premium collection, and annuity payment arrangements;

  • To handle enquiries on policy administration from internal and external counterparties; and
  • To participate in UAT as assigned.

 

Requirements

Information Security

Vice President (Information Security)

Job Descriptions

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, the incumbent will lead a small team to develop an information security strategy, related standards/procedures and guidelines to ensure information assets and technologies are adequately protected. As a senior staff, the incumbent will direct staff in identifying, developing, implementing, and maintaining processes across the Corporation to improve cyber defences and attack preparedness. The position will respond to incidents, drive the effective root cause analysis to prevent reoccurrence, monitor the effectiveness of cyber arrangements, manage security technologies, and provide expert advice on all aspects of information security.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Computer Science, Information Management Systems or relevant disciplines;
  • A minimum of 12 years’ experience in building and managing information security, preferably gained in banking or financial institutions;
  • Certified Information Security Manager or Information Security Professional or equivalent;
  • Sound knowledge in disaster recovery and business continuity management, security architecture, regulatory compliance and information risk management;

Infrastructure Financing and Securitisation

Senior Vice President

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to assist in formulating the strategy and establishing the capabilities for the HKMC to explore business opportunities in the area of infrastructure financing and securitisation.

 

Job Descriptions

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer of the HKMC, the incumbent will oversee the formulation of a strategic plan for the HKMC to participate in infrastructure financing and securitisation, including defining market positioning, setting business targets, determining the scale and pace of business participation, and establishing the capabilities for participation, and take charge of the implementation of the strategic plan adopted by the HKMC under the support of a team of professionals.

 

As a senior staff, the incumbent will liaise with the senior executives of business counterparties in high level business negotiations and work with various stakeholders including but not limited to multilateral developments banks (MDBs), local, overseas and international financial institutions, project developers and sponsors, regulators and rating agencies.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder, preferably in finance-related disciplines
  • At least 15 years’ experience in infrastructure financing and related areas, experience and knowledge in securitisation an advantage
  • Demonstrated leadership, self-motivation and management capability in a senior position

Job Descriptions

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, the incumbent will assist to formulate the strategic plan for the HKMC to participate in infrastructure financing and securitisation including defining market positioning, setting business targets, determining the scale and pace of business participation and establishing the capabilities for participation, and render support to implement the strategic plan adopted by the HKMC. Being a member of the management team, the incumbent will participate in key strategic meetings and deputise for the Senior Vice President during one’s absence.

Internal Audit Department

Assistant Vice President / Senior Manager (Internal Audit)

Job Descriptions
  • To lead and conduct independent audits on the Group’s business operations, financial activities and information systems;
  • To identify opportunities to strengthen the corporate governance, risk management, and internal control systems;
  • To prepare internal audit reports incorporating agreed management responses and communicate audit results to relevant stakeholders;
  • To review and compile documentation to record the internal audit processes and results;
  • To assist the Chief Internal Auditor with the development of the annual Internal Audit work plan and enhance the risk based audit approach; and

Requirements

Assistant Vice President (Valuation)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to provide in-house valuation-related service to the HKMC, its subsidiaries and subsidiary undertakings (the HKMC Group).

 

Job Descriptions
  • To devise a system and workflow for valuation of residential properties and collaterals for the HKMC’s Mortgage Insurance Programme, Mortgage Purchase Programme, Reverse Mortgage Programme and Premium Loan Insurance Scheme;
  • To provide independent valuation for Hong Kong properties in relation to the businesses of the HKMC Group and conduct on-site property inspections; and
  • To conduct market research and analysis of Hong Kong property market.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Surveying or related disciplines;
  • A member of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors in the General Practice Division, or equivalent;
  • Have at least 5 year’s appropriate post-qualification experience in the field of Valuation and Estate Management/ Property Development;
  • Solid knowledge in property valuation and research in Hong Kong’s property market, relevant experience in consultancy services is an advantage; and

Job Descriptions
  • To participate in designing, developing and testing application systems to support loans & credit guarantee operations, credit management, treasury operations, business transactions and monitoring of asset quality;
  • To design and construct ad hoc data mining, analysis and reporting;
  • To recommend and implement new processes, business process reengineering initiatives, operational risk mitigation and maintenance of policy & procedural manuals; and

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Information Systems, Management, Finance, Accounting or related discipline, a higher degree is an advantage but not essential. Candidates with dual degree in business and IT would be preferred;
  • Solid knowledge and experience in system development cycle and UAT;
  • Knowledge of basic banking products a definite advantage;

Risk Management Department

Assistant Manager / Senior Associate (Counterparty Credit Risk and Market Risk)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Risk Management Department for serving the HKMC, its subsidiaries and subsidiary undertakings (the HKMC Group).

 

Job Descriptions
  • To assist with credit risk management of counterparties (including banks, insurers, large corporate, infrastructure finance and sovereigns etc.) and monitor of counterparty limit in middle office;
  • To assist with market risk management (including interest rate risk, currency risk, asset-liability mismatch risk, liquidity risk etc.);
  • To conduct financial review and internal rating assessment on counterparties;
  • To monitor the credit standing of our counterparties and review their counterparty limits; and
  • To conduct stress testing on counterparty credit risk and market risk under insurance and banking capital regime.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder preferably in finance, economics, risk management, accounting or equivalent;
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in counterparty credit risk management or related discipline;
  • Good knowledge in counterparty credit risk management, treasury and insurance products is an advantage;

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Risk Management, Statistics, Finance, Business, or equivalent;
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the field of credit risk management or related discipline;
  • Well-versed in conducting portfolio credit risk analysis and models;
  • Proficient in Excel VBA, SQL and SAS programming;

Job Descriptions
  • To conduct pre-approval credit review on applications;
  • To conduct due diligence review on SFGS claims;
  • To assist in risk reporting of SFGS credit performance; and
  • To assist in ad hoc risk-related projects.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder or above is preferred;
  • A minimum of 2-5 years’ local credit experience in commercial banking is a pre-requisite;
  • Familiar with the SME credit underwriting process in an Authorized Institutions is a must;
  • Well-versed in commercial lending policies and procedures;
  • Good knowledge of corporate lending and trade finance products;
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and can work independently;
  • Good analytical and communication skills; and
  • Good command of written English.
