Group Internal Audit Department

Assistant Vice President / Senior Manager (Group Internal Audit)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Group Internal Audit Department for serving the HKMC, its subsidiaries and subsidiary undertakings (the HKMC Group).

Being a member of the Group Internal Audit Department, the incumbent will participate in audit and consulting activities of all business lines of the HKMC Group. The incumbent will also be developing a specialisation in auditing the infrastructure financing and securitisation business.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To lead and conduct independent audits on the Group’s business operations, financial activities and information systems;
  • To identify opportunities to strengthen the corporate governance, risk management, and internal control systems;
  • To prepare internal audit reports incorporating agreed management responses and communicate audit results to relevant stakeholders;
  • To review and compile documentation to record the internal audit processes and results;
  • To assist the Chief Internal Auditor with the development of the annual Internal Audit work plan and enhance the risk based audit approach; and
  • To participate in special investigations or ad hoc assignments as commissioned by the Audit Committee or senior management.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines with recognised accounting or auditing professional qualifications (e.g. Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Information Systems Auditor);
  • A minimum of 10 years’ internal or external audit experience gained from financial institutions or CPA firms, with audit experience in infrastructure and project finance an advantage;
  • Solid knowledge in project finance, life insurance, annuity, mortgage loans, commercial credit and treasury operations;
  • Independent, self-motivated, well-organised, with strong analytical and interpersonal skills; and
  • Excellent communication skills with good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.

Information Technology Department

Senior Associate (System Analyst / Analyst Programmer - Application Development)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Information Technology Department for serving the HKMC, its subsidiaries and subsidiary undertakings (the HKMC Group).

 

Job Descriptions
  • To engage in roles of system design, development and implementation of business application systems in line with the Corporation’s business development;
  • To work closely with business departments on gathering and analysing user requirements, designing and developing system solutions, and preparation of system documentations during different stages of the projects;
  • To take part in the development and support of other application areas such as infrastructure financing, loans, insurance and MIS reporting; and
  • The employment will be on contract basis subject to renewal.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Computer Science or related disciplines;
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the development, implementation and support of application systems, preferably in banking, finance and insurance industries;

Legal Office

Named Company Secretary

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Legal Office for serving the HKMC, its subsidiaries and subsidiary undertakings (the HKMC Group).

 

Job Descriptions
  • To be named as company secretary for members of the HKMC Group responsible for all company secretarial duties, and to advise on corporate governance matters
  • To ensure compliance of statutory and regulatory filing and reporting matters, including compliance with the Companies Ordinance, the Insurance Ordinance and other relevant statutory and regulatory requirements
  • To be responsible for organising board meetings, committee meetings and shareholders’ meetings, including drafting of minutes, written resolutions and other related documents
  • To prepare or to assist preparing directors’ reports, annual report, corporate governance report and other secretarial or general corporate documents
  • To conduct research on company secretarial and corporate governance matters

 

Requirements
  • A minimum of seven years’ solid company secretarial and preferably general corporate experience, gained in insurance companies, financial institutions, major corporations or law firms
  • Associate of HKICS or ICSA, preferably a degree holder in law, accounting or corporate governance
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and strong PC skills (Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Word including Chinese word processing)

Senior Manager (Valuation)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to provide in-house valuation-related service to the HKMC, its subsidiaries and subsidiary undertakings (the HKMC Group).

 

Job Descriptions
  • To devise and manage a system for valuation of residential properties and collaterals for the HKMC’s Mortgage Insurance Programme, Mortgage Purchase Programme, Reverse Mortgage Programme and Premium Loan Insurance Scheme;
  • To provide independent and professional advice on valuation and land related matters for Hong Kong properties in relation to the businesses of the HKMC Group;
  • To conduct research and analysis of Hong Kong properties;
  • To monitor and assess future outlook of Hong Kong property market so as to identify any potential market risk;
  • To assist in planning and execution of financial and operational strategy; and
  • To handle ad-hoc projects as and when required.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Surveying, Real Estate or related disciplines with relevant professional qualification such as Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors in the General Practice Division, or equivalent;
  • A minimum of 5 years’ appropriate post-qualification experience in valuation and research in Hong Kong property market, relevant experience in financial services is an advantage;
  • Solid knowledge in Hong Kong property market and relevant Ordinances / regulations;
  • Mature, meticulous, responsible and able to work under pressure, tight timeline and independently with strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese with strong report writing and communication skills; and

Pricing and Quantitative Risk Department

Assistant Vice President (Pricing and Quantitative Risk)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Pricing and Quantitative Risk Department for serving the HKMC, its subsidiaries and subsidiary undertakings (the HKMC Group).

 

Job Descriptions
  • To develop, enhance and maintain the various key financial models (mainly consumer credit, interest rate and longevity risks) for pricing, liability valuation and economic capital calculation purposes;
  • To perform quantitative analysis in assisting design of new product or enhancements to existing products and present results to the various risk committees; and
  • To lead a small team of risk professional in performing core duties and researching into new skills and technologies for upscaling the competence level of the function.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in a quantitative discipline: Financial Engineering, Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics. Post-graduate degree is an advantage. Candidates with professional qualification from actuarial body preferred;
  • A minimum of 10 years’ relevant working experience in the banking or insurance industry;
  • Strong background and experience in building quantitative tools on credit risk, market risk and longevity risk; including development, review and validation of the quantitative tools;
  • Experience in developing predictive analytical tools to collect and transform big data into useful information to discover predictive patterns and relationships of risk factors for business use; and
  • Solid understanding of banking and insurance businesses and the underlying risk factors that drive the business.

Risk Management Department

Manager (Enterprise Risk)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Risk Management Department for serving the HKMC, its subsidiaries and subsidiary undertakings (the HKMC Group).

 

Job Descriptions
  • To assist in the preparation for the Hong Kong Risk-Based Capital Regime (HK RBC);
  • To formulate and maintain robust enterprise risk management (ERM) frameworks and policies;
  • To be the subject matter expert to communicate and liaise effectively with all stakeholders in the implementation of ERM governance, standards and procedures; and
  • To prepare risk management reports and papers to Risk Committees.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Risk Management, Statistics, Finance, Business, or equivalent;
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of risk management or related discipline. Exposure to insurance industry is preferable;

Job Descriptions
  • To assist the set up and review credit risk management of counterparties (including banks, insurers, large corporate, infrastructure finance and sovereigns etc.);
  • To conduct financial review and internal rating assessment on counterparty;
  • To monitor counterparty limit in middle office operation; and
  • To conduct stress testing under insurance and banking capital regime.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder preferably in finance, economics, risk management, accounting or equivalent;
  • 3 to 5 years’of experience in counterparty risk management or related discipline;

  • To provide life insurance application service from product explanation to completion of application process to customers in the insurance licensed application servicing team;

  • To work closely with the Centre Manager as well as the back officer operations team to identify any improvement areas in the application process; and

Requirements

Job Descriptions
  • To participate in system design, drafting of system user requirement and testing of mortgage application systems for supporting the operations of Mortgage Insurance Programme and Reverse Mortgage Programme;
  • To handle loan administration under the insurance policy;
  • To conduct data mining, portfolio analysis and statistical reporting; and
  • To devise system user requirement and conduct user acceptance test.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Business Administration, Finance, Information System or equivalent;
  • A minimum of 5 years’ mortgage operations experience;

The Scheme will be operated by HKMC Insurance Limited (HKMCI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation Limited and the individuals will be appointed directly by the HKMCI.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To perform guarantee administration duties under the SME Financing Guarantee Scheme (“SFGS”), including processing and verification of monthly reports, reconciliation of guarantee fees receivable from participating lenders and annual renewal of guarantees;
  • To support MIS reports and document management services;
  • To support ad hoc projects; and
  • The employment will be on a contract basis subject to renewal.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline;
  • A minimum of 1 year's solid experience in SME lending with reputable Authorized Institutions;

Job Descriptions
  • To assist vetting of guarantee applications under the SME Financing Guarantee Scheme;
  • To review application documents, input and verify application data;
  • To support treasury operations and settlements for all bond issuance, treasury and hedging activities, including payment execution and reconciliation;
  • To conduct financial calculation and data analysis with MS Excel and MS Access;
  • To provide documents management services;
  • To participate in ad hoc duties or projects; and
  • The employment will be on a contract basis subject to renewal.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline;
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience in commercial banks or financial institutions;
