Life Annuity Scheme

Senior Manager (Life Annuity Scheme – Application Servicing Centre)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to assist in the launching and operation of a life annuity scheme (the Scheme), which is subject to the approval of the insurance regulatory authority. The Scheme will be operated by a new wholly-owned subsidiary of the HKMC and the individuals will be appointed directly by the subsidiary.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To be responsible for the set-up of the licensed Application Servicing Team, including the formulation and implementation of recruitment plans;
  • To be in-charge of the Application Servicing Centre to ensure quality service delivery;
  • To design operational procedures to meet regulatory requirements;
  • To design and implement performance tracking system; and
  • To provide training programmes and materials for Account Officers and to liaise with external training institutes for staff professional development.

 

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder with a minimum of 10 years’ of solid experience in insurance industry;
  • With Insurance Intermediaries Qualification Papers 1, 3 & 5 and other professional certification is preferred;
  • Sound knowledge in life insurance product and sales-related regulations;
  • Solid experience in sales governance framework development or insurance training; and
  • Good problem solving, analytical and communication skills.

Manager (Life Annuity Scheme – Administration and Human Resources)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to assist in the launching and operation of a life annuity scheme (the Scheme), which is subject to the approval of the insurance regulatory authority. The Scheme will be operated by a new wholly-owned subsidiary of the HKMC and the individuals will be appointed directly by the subsidiary.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To manage office administrative functions including office fitting-out projects and relocation, procurement, repair and maintenance, system management and security services;
  • To provide support to various HR functions including recruitment and selection, benefits administration and employee relations;
  • To co-ordinate corporate events and functions; and
  • To perform any other tasks and assignments from time to time.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder with a minimum of 8 years' of relevant experience in HR and/ or office administration;
  • Relevant experience in handling office fitting-out works and relocation projects preferred;
  • Multitasking, meticulous and self-motivated;
  • A team player with good communication and organising skills; and
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Candidates with less experience will be considered for the position of Deputy Manager.

Assistant Manager (Life Annuity Scheme – Customer Relations)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to assist in the launching and operation of a life annuity scheme (the Scheme), which is subject to the approval of the insurance regulatory authority. The Scheme will be operated by a new wholly-owned subsidiary of the HKMC and the individuals will be appointed directly by the subsidiary.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To assess and investigate customer issues and complaints in a timely manner;
  • To conduct trend and root cause analysis of complaint cases and customer concerns, identify and drive improvement actions or remedies;
  • To provide coaching and assistance to Customer Service Centre staff; and
  • To perform ad hoc tasks as required.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder with a minimum of 5 years’ relevant working experience in customer service or complaint management in life insurance industry;
  • Solid experience in handling enquiries and complaints from regulators and government bodies;
  • Familiar with policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements for life insurance and insurance professional qualifications is an advantage;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); and
  • Good problem solving skills, able to work independently and under pressure.

Account Officer (Life Annuity Scheme – Application Servicing Centre)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to assist in the launching and operation of a life annuity scheme (the Scheme), which is subject to the approval of the insurance regulatory authority. The Scheme will be operated by a new wholly-owned subsidiary of the HKMC and the individuals will be appointed directly by the subsidiary.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To provide life insurance application service from product explanation to completion of application process to customers in an insurance-licensed application servicing team;
  • To follow up with pending applications and perform other administrative duties as required in the application process;
  • To work closely with the Centre Manager as well as the back office operations team to identify any improvement areas in the application process; and
  • To perform other ad hoc duties and projects as assigned from time to time.

 

Requirements
  • Tertiary educated with a minimum of 1 year’s sales or customer service experience in life insurance industry;
  • Insurance Intermediaries Qualification Papers 1 & 3 is a must;
  • Customer oriented, responsible and self-motivated;
  • Able to work under pressure; and
  • Good command of spoken Mandarin, English, and Cantonese.

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to assist in the launching and operation of a life annuity scheme (the Scheme), which is subject to the approval of the insurance regulatory authority. The Scheme will be operated by a new wholly-owned subsidiary of the HKMC and the individuals will be appointed directly by the subsidiary.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To handle inbound enquiries and resolve customer concerns;
  • To conduct outbound follow up calls;
  • To report issues and customers’ comments to supervisor for service improvement; and
  • To perform ad hoc tasks as required.

 

Requirements
  • Tertiary educated, with insurance professional qualifications is an advantage;
  • A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in call centre, preferably in insurance industry;
  • Good interpersonal skills, strong sense of responsibility, patient and with positive attitude; and
  • Good command of spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to assist in the launching and operation of a life annuity scheme (the Scheme), which is subject to the approval of the insurance regulatory authority. Job Descriptions
  • To be responsible for daily policy administration activities including new policies issuance, premium collection, and annuity payment arrangements;
  • To prepare correspondence on policy change requests, notice and endorsements to customers;
  • To handle enquiries on policy administration from internal and external counterparties; and
  • To participate in UAT as assigned.

 

Requirements
  • Tertiary educated, with a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in life insurance industry mainly in policy administration and processing;
  • Good communication skills; and

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to assist in the launching and operation of a life annuity scheme (the Scheme), which is subject to the approval of the insurance regulatory authority. Job Descriptions

Information Security

Senior Manager (Information Security)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Information Security Team for serving the HKMC, its subsidiaries and subsidiary undertakings (the HKMC Group). The position will report to Vice President (Information Security).

 

Job Descriptions
  • To develop an information security strategy, related policies and standards to ensure information assets and technologies are adequately protected;
  • To collaborate with the relevant stakeholders and develop sufficient procedures and guidelines to support the information security policies and standards;
  • To develop and be responsible for the overall computer security incident response process, including recovery and business continuity plan; and
  • To provide oversight and support the implementation of the information security and cyber security technologies and tools.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Computer Science, Information Management Systems or relevant disciplines;
  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in information security or cyber security, preferably gained in banking or financial institutions;
  • Familiar with the industry standards such as ISO 27001 or CIS Critical Security Controls;
  • Information security related qualifications or certificates such as CISA, CISM, CRISC or equivalent;

Internal Audit Department

Assistant Vice President / Senior Manager (Internal Audit)

Job Descriptions
  • To lead and conduct independent audits on the Group’s business operations, financial activities and information systems;
  • To identify opportunities to strengthen the corporate governance, risk management, and internal control systems;
  • To prepare internal audit reports incorporating agreed management responses and communicate audit results to relevant stakeholders;
  • To review and compile documentation to record the internal audit processes and results;
  • To assist the Chief Internal Auditor with the development of the annual Internal Audit work plan and enhance the risk based audit approach; and
  • To participate in special investigations or ad hoc assignments as commissioned by the Audit Committee or senior management.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines with recognised accounting or auditing professional qualifications (e.g. Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Information Systems Auditor);
  • A minimum of 10 years’ internal or external audit experience gained from financial institutions or CPA firms, with audit experience in the life insurance industry an advantage;
  • Solid knowledge in life insurance, annuity, mortgage loans, mortgage insurance, commercial credit and treasury operations;
  • Independent, self-motivated, well-organised, with strong analytical and interpersonal skills; and
  • Excellent communication skills with good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.

Mortgage Insurance Department

Deputy Manager (Mortgage Insurance – Credit Operations)

Job Descriptions
  • To liaise with authorized institutions and reinsurers on application and servicing processes for Mortgage Insurance Programme, Reverse Mortgage Programme and Premium Loan Insurance Scheme;
  • To handle claim administration under the insurance policy;
  • To keep track of mortgage portfolio by producing statistical reports to supervisors;

Requirements

Operations 2 Department

Associate (Process Management and Systems)

Job Descriptions
  • To participate in designing, developing and testing application systems to support loans & credit guarantee operations, credit management, treasury operations, business transactions and monitoring of asset quality;
  • To design and construct ad hoc data mining, analysis and reporting;
  • To recommend and implement new processes, business process reengineering initiatives, operational risk mitigation and maintenance of policy & procedural manuals; and
  • The employment will be on a contract basis subject to renewal.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Information Systems, Management, Finance, Accounting or related discipline, a higher degree is an advantage but not essential. Candidates with dual degree in business and IT would be preferred;
  • Solid knowledge and experience in system development cycle and UAT;
  • Knowledge of basic banking products a definite advantage;

Risk Management Department

Assistant Manager / Senior Associate (Counterparty Credit Risk and Market Risk)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Risk Management Department for serving the HKMC, its subsidiaries and subsidiary undertakings (the HKMC Group).

 

Job Descriptions
  • To assist with credit risk management of counterparties (including banks, insurers, large corporate, infrastructure finance and sovereigns etc.) and monitor of counterparty limit in middle office;
  • To assist with market risk management (including interest rate risk, currency risk, asset-liability mismatch risk, liquidity risk etc.);
  • To conduct financial review and internal rating assessment on counterparties;
  • To monitor the credit standing of our counterparties and review their counterparty limits; and
  • To conduct stress testing on counterparty credit risk and market risk under insurance and banking capital regime.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder preferably in finance, economics, risk management, accounting or equivalent;
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in counterparty credit risk management or related discipline;
  • Good knowledge in counterparty credit risk management, treasury and insurance products is an advantage;
  • Analytical and self-motivated;

  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Access and Bloomberg.

  • A minimum of 2-5 years’ local credit experience in commercial banking is a pre-requisite;

Requirements
