Life Annuity Scheme

Senior Manager (Life Annuity Scheme - Customer Relations)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to assist in the launching and operation of a life annuity scheme (the Scheme), which is subject to the approval of the insurance regulatory authority. The Scheme will be operated by a new wholly-owned subsidiary of the HKMC and the individuals will be appointed directly by the subsidiary.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To lead the Complaint and Compliment Management team to handle customer complaint and concerns related to selling and servicing of insurance product(s) and other compliance concerned issues;
  • To lead and manage Customer Service Centre for providing quality customer service;
  • To handle enquiries originating from regulators, media, legal representation and involving significant financial impacts or reputational risk;
  • To review internal policies and procedures and provide recommendations to Management for enhancing service quality and total customer experiences; and
  • To conduct regular formal training for complaint handling and customer service staff.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder with a minimum of 10 years’ relevant working experience in customer service / complaint management in life insurance industry, with at least 3 to 4 years in management / supervisory level;
  • Familiar with policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements for life insurance and insurance professional qualifications is an advantage;
  • Solid experience in customer service and customer complaints handling is a must;
  • Self-motivated, able to work multi-task independently and under pressure; and
  • Good writing skills and proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Manager (Life Annuity Scheme – Business Analytics and Process Management)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to assist in the launching and operation of a life annuity scheme (the Scheme), which is subject to the approval of the insurance regulatory authority. The Scheme will be operated by a new wholly-owned subsidiary of the HKMC and the individuals will be appointed directly by the subsidiary.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To assist in setting up the operations framework and to coordinate with business partners on overall operations and business processes to ensure business objectives are met and implementation is as agreed;
  • To keep updated of relevant regulatory requirements and drive compliance related projects to ensure the operation processes are complied with regulatory requirements and internal control procedures;
  • To assist in defining and monitoring operation KPIs and responsible for preparing management reports and service measurement reports to analyse performance and suggest improvement initiatives; and
  • To provide guidance to operations end-users to identify and define business requirements, plan UAT strategy, assist to prepare user manual and conduct user training.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Business Management, Finance, Process Management, Quantitative Analysis or related disciplines;
  • A minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience in life insurance industry preferably in business analytics and process management;
  • Familiar with policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements for life insurance and insurance professional qualifications is an advantage;
  • Sound knowledge in project management and insurance systems, solid experience for vendor management; and

Manager / Assistant Manager (Life Annuity Scheme – Call Centre)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to assist in the launching and operation of a life annuity scheme (the Scheme), which is subject to the approval of the insurance regulatory authority. The Scheme will be operated by a new wholly-owned subsidiary of the HKMC and the individuals will be appointed directly by the subsidiary.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To lead and manage a team of Call Centre professionals to handle enquiries from customers regarding insurance policy related matters;
  • To foster customer centric culture and motivate the team in providing consistent and quality customer service, meeting respective service levels and KPIs;
  • To develop, implement and enhance operational guidelines and procedures to ensure best practice within the Call Centre;
  • To provide support and advice to Call Centre professionals on handling complicated enquiries or concerns; and
  • To report and provide regular updates on operational issues, potential crisis and complaints to management with action plans for service improvement.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder with a minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience in customer service or Call Centre in insurance industry, with at least 2 years in supervisory level;
  • Familiar with policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements for life insurance and insurance professional qualifications is an advantage;
  • Solid experience in resolving customer concerns or complaints is an advantage; and
  • Good organisation and supervisory skills, customer-focused, energetic and able to work under pressure.

Candidates with less experience will be considered for the position of Assistant Manager.

Manager (Life Annuity Scheme - Channel Development and Marketing)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to assist in the launching and operation of a life annuity scheme (the Scheme), which is subject to the approval of the insurance regulatory authority. The Scheme will be operated by a new wholly-owned subsidiary of the HKMC and the individuals will be appointed directly by the subsidiary.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To establish and maintain solid relationship with mapped insurance distribution partners (Distributors) to ensure quality delivery;
  • To develop comprehensive training plan for Distributors on product, sales operations and processes to align with the sales and product strategies;
  • To develop sales tools to enhance efficiency on channel distribution;
  • To provide all levels of sales support services and develop analysis tools to oversee sales activities of Distributors; and
  • To participate in sales related projects and campaigns assigned from time to time.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder with a minimum of 8 years’ relevant working experience in life insurance industry, preferably with 5 years’ experience in bancassurance;
  • Familiar with policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements for life insurance and insurance professional qualifications is an advantage;
  • Sound knowledge in life insurance products;
  • Solid experience in conducting insurance training to distribution partners. Experience on leading sales team is an advantage; and
  • Good problem solving, analytical and communication skills.

Candidates with less experience will be considered for the position of Deputy Manager.

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to assist in the launching and operation of a life annuity scheme (the Scheme), which is subject to the approval of the insurance regulatory authority. The Scheme will be operated by a new wholly-owned subsidiary of the HKMC and the individuals will be appointed directly by the subsidiary.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To supervise the team and monitor daily operation including underwriting, new policies issuance, endorsements, premium collection, and annuity payment arrangements;
  • To be responsible for the overall resources planning, incoming policies submission monitoring and backlog control to ensure service standards are met;
  • To develop, implement and enhance life insurance administration policies and guidelines to ensure quality and efficient service deliverables;
  • To manage and support the reporting process for monthly operations service performance, queries and dashboard; and
  • To provide guidance and training to the team to enhance technical knowledge.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder with a minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience in life insurance industry, with at least 2 years in supervisory level;
  • Familiar with policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements for life insurance and insurance professional qualifications is an advantage;
  • Solid experience in policy administration and processing; and
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, strong problem solving skills, able to work independently and under pressure.

Candidates with less experience will be considered for the position of Assistant Manager.

Job Descriptions
  • To handle inbound enquiries and resolve customer concerns;
  • To conduct outbound follow up calls;
  • To report issues and customers’ comments to supervisor for service improvement; and
  • To perform ad hoc tasks as required.

 

Requirements
  • Tertiary educated, with insurance professional qualifications is an advantage;
  • A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in call centre, preferably in insurance industry;
  • Good interpersonal skills, strong sense of responsibility, patient and with positive attitude; and
  • Good command of spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).

Candidates with less experience will be considered for the position of Associate.

Job Descriptions
  • To be responsible for daily policy administration activities including new policies issuance, premium collection, and annuity payment arrangements;
  • To prepare correspondence on policy change requests, notice and endorsements to customers;
  • To handle enquiries on policy administration from internal and external counterparties; and
  • To participate in UAT as assigned.

 

Requirements
  • Tertiary educated, with a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in life insurance industry mainly in policy administration and processing;
  • Good communication skills; and
  • Good problem solving skills and able to work independently.

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to assist in the launching and operation of a life annuity scheme (the Scheme), which is subject to the approval of the insurance regulatory authority. Job Descriptions
  • To provide secretarial and administrative support to Vice President (Operations);
  • To coordinate business meeting, prepare correspondence, arrange business travel, training and all inter-departments logistics;
  • To assist in project coordination, time line management and implementation; and
  • To liaise with both internal departments and external parties.

 

Requirements
  • A minimum of 8 years’ administrative experience in major organisations, preferably gained in insurance or financial industry;
  • Good work coordination, interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Excellent command of English and Chinese (including Putonghua); and
  • Proficient in PC applications including MS Office and Chinese word processing.

Marketing and Business Development Department

Associate (Marketing and Business Development)

Associate (Mortgage Administration and Servicing)

Job Descriptions
  • To participate in designing, developing and testing application systems to support loans & credit guarantee operations, credit management, treasury operations, business transactions and monitoring of asset quality;
  • To design and construct ad hoc data mining, analysis and reporting;
  • To recommend and implement new processes, business process reengineering initiatives, operational risk mitigation and maintenance of policy & procedural manuals; and
  • The employment will be on a contract basis subject to renewal.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Information Systems, Management, Finance, Accounting or related discipline, a higher degree is an advantage but not essential. Candidates with dual degree in business and IT would be preferred;
  • Solid knowledge and experience in system development cycle and UAT;
  • Knowledge of basic banking products a definite advantage;
  • Attention to details, high degree of accuracy, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
  • A team player with positive thinking;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); and

Risk Management Department

Assistant Manager / Senior Associate (Counterparty Credit Risk & Market Risk)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Risk Management Department for serving the HKMC, its subsidiaries and subsidiary undertakings (the HKMC Group).

 

Job Descriptions
  • To assist with credit risk management of counterparties (including banks, insurers, large corporate, infrastructure finance and sovereigns etc.) and monitor of counterparty limit in middle office;
  • To assist with market risk management (including interest rate risk, currency risk, asset-liability mismatch risk, liquidity risk etc.);
  • To conduct financial review and internal rating assessment on counterparties;
  • To monitor the credit standing of our counterparties and review their counterparty limits; and
  • To conduct stress testing on counterparty credit risk and market risk under insurance and banking capital regime.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder preferably in finance, economics, risk management, accounting or equivalent;
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in counterparty credit risk management or related discipline;
  • Good knowledge in counterparty credit risk management, treasury and insurance products is an advantage;
  • Analytical and self-motivated;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Access and Bloomberg.
