Information Technology Department

Associate (System Administrator – Unix and Database)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Information Technology Department for serving the HKMC, its subsidiaries and subsidiary undertakings (the HKMC Group).

 

Job Descriptions
  • To perform Sun Solaris Unix hardware and operating system administration;
  • To perform Oracle & MSSQL database administration, capacity planning and performance tuning;
  • To provide technical support on Weblogic application server and Oracle Internet application server;
  • To perform ongoing support to application and dayend process, backup operations, network firewall and security systems; and
  • The employment will be on a contract basis subject to renewal.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Computer Science or related discipline;
  • Candidates must possess at least 3 years hands-on experience in the following:

Infrastructure Financing and Securitisation

Assistant Vice President (Infrastructure Investment)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Infrastructure Financing and Securitisation Division for serving the HKMC, its subsidiaries and subsidiary undertakings (the HKMC Group).

 

Job Descriptions

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, the incumbent will:

 

  • Assist in all aspects of the origination and execution of infrastructure financing transactions which include, among others, deal screening, writing of investment proposals, risk analyses and rating, due diligence, financial modelling and analyses, documentation review and negotiation, and coordination of transaction closing; and
  • Assist to ensure adherence to the control, reporting, compliance and regulatory regime, and all the relevant policies and framework within the Corporation.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder, preferably in finance-related disciplines;
  • At least 8 years’ experience in infrastructure financing and related areas, with preference given to direct experience in project finance;
  • Strong experience in credit, risk management, market and legal aspects of project finance;
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, in-depth project finance modelling experience is preferred;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, fluency in Putonghua will be an advantage; and
  • Strong team player with excellent communication and stakeholders engagement skills.

Legal Office

Assistant Vice President / Senior Manager (Compliance)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Legal Office for serving the HKMC, its subsidiaries and subsidiary undertakings (the HKMC Group).

 

Job Descriptions
  • To act as compliance officer of one or more members of the HKMC Group for compliance matters;
  • To ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, standards and guidelines including compliance with the Insurance Ordinance, Prevention of Bribery Ordinance, Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, Competition Ordinance, Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Ordinance, anti-discrimination ordinances and other relevant statutory and regulatory requirements and industry standards, in particular, requirements and standards applicable to insurance (general and long term) and infrastructure financing businesses;
  • To develop, maintain and keep updated the HKMC Group’s compliance programmes which include compliance documentation, compliance risks identification and assessment, provision of compliance advice, compliance monitoring, compliance sign-offs, compliance reporting, compliance audits, compliance training and compliance testing; and
  • To review and update compliance policies and procedures.

 

Requirements
  • Must satisfy ‘fit and proper’ standards set by the regulatory authorities including the Insurance Authority;
  • Degree holder in law, accounting or related disciplines;
  • A minimum of 6 years’ relevant experience gained in insurance (general or long term) and/or infrastructure financing business within the compliance, risk or legal departments of insurance companies, insurance intermediaries or financial institutions;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and strong PC skills (Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Word including Chinese word processing);
  • Attention to detail, mature and ability to work independently under pressure;
  • Good administration, co-ordination, interpersonal, communication and organisational skills; and
  • Experience with a regulator in licensing or intermediary supervision would be an advantage.

 

Candidates with less experience may be considered for the position of Senior Manager.

Manager (Financial Control - Life Insurance Reporting)

Job Descriptions
  • To prepare month-end closing, journal entry, regular statutory returns and account reconciliations in accordance with group and regulatory requirements;
  • To assist in daily accounting operations such as expense payment and payroll;
  • To ensure the accurate and timely production of financial statement and ad hoc reports;
  • To support internal and external audit, profit tax computation and filing;
  • To assist in preparation of financial forecasts and annual budget, and perform budgetary control; and

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Accounting, Finance or related discipline with a recognised professional qualification;

Job Descriptions
  • To provide life insurance application service to customers;
  • To follow up with pending applications and perform other administrative duties as required in the application process;
  • To work closely with the Centre Manager as well as the back office operations team to identify any improvement areas in the application process; and
  • To perform other ad hoc duties and projects as assigned from time to time.

 

Requirements
  • Tertiary educated with a minimum of 1 year’s sales or customer service experience in life insurance industry;

HKMC Insurance Limited

Deputy Manager (Insurance Business Operations – Credit Operations)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to assist in the operation of the Mortgage Insurance Programme, Reverse Mortgage Programme and Premium Loan Insurance Scheme (the Programmes). The Programmes will be operated by HKMC Insurance Limited (HKMCI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation Limited and the individuals will be appointed directly by the HKMCI.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To liaise with authorized institutions and reinsurers on application and servicing processes for Mortgage Insurance Programme, Reverse Mortgage Programme and Premium Loan Insurance Scheme;
  • To handle claim administration under the insurance policy;
  • To keep track of mortgage portfolio by producing statistical reports to supervisors;
  • To devise system user requirement and conduct user acceptance test; and

Requirements

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to assist in the operation of a SME Financing Guarantee Scheme (the Scheme). The Scheme will be operated by HKMC Insurance Limited (HKMCI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation Limited and the individuals will be appointed directly by the HKMCI.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To assist in coordination of an IT project with respect to the SME Financing Guarantee Scheme (“SFGS”);
  • To manage and maintain effective communication with external counterparties and internal departments on the development of the SFGS;
  • To assist in seminars and training sessions offered to participating lenders and SME associations; and
  • To participate in ad hoc duties or projects.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, Project Management or related discipline;
  • A minimum of 5 years' solid experience in SME or commercial lending with reputable Authorized Institutions;
  • Attention to details, high degree of accuracy, able to work independently, under pressure and meet tight deadlines;

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to assist in the operation of a SME Financing Guarantee Scheme (the Scheme). The Scheme will be operated by HKMC Insurance Limited (HKMCI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation Limited and the individuals will be appointed directly by the HKMCI.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To handle claim requests under the SME Financing Guarantee Scheme (“SFGS”), perform due diligence and compliance review and reconciliation of claim amounts;
  • To devise, implement and monitor debt recovery strategies in order to maximise recovery return;
  • To perform timely tracking, controlling and reporting of claim and debt recovery actions and provide administrative support to the SGFS operation; and
  • The employment will be on a contract basis subject to renewal.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline;
  • A minimum of 3 years’ solid experience in SME lending, credit analysis or debt recovery;

  • To provide documents management services;
  • To participate in ad hoc duties or projects; and

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline;
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience in commercial banks or financial institutions;
