Financial Control Department

Senior Associate (Financial Control)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Financial Control Department for serving the HKMC, its subsidiaries and subsidiary undertakings (the HKMC Group).

Being a member of the Financial Control Department, the incumbent will carry out accounting functions for the mortgage/loan portfolio, general insurance business and treasury activities of the HKMC Group.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To provide administration support on accounting information and payment systems;
  • To coordinate with IT and user teams in formulating clear and precise users’ requirements, performing user acceptance tests of accounting information systems relating to treasury, insurance and mortgage products;
  • To evaluate existing processes and make recommendations on process re-engineering;
  • To assist in the review and update of the procedure manuals;
  • To design and construct ad hoc data mining, analysis and reporting; and
  • The employment will be on a contract basis subject to renewal.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines with recognised accounting professional qualifications;
  • A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience, with experience in financial industry is an advantage;
  • Knowledge in major financial and treasury products is an advantage;
  • Independent, self-motivated, well-organised, with strong analytical and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent communication skills with good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and
  • Proficient in PC applications, with knowledge in Oracle is an advantage.

 

Candidates with more experience will be considered for the position of Assistant Manager.

Operations 1 Department

Senior Manager (Valuation)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to provide in-house valuation-related service to the HKMC, its subsidiaries and subsidiary undertakings (the HKMC Group).

 

Job Descriptions
  • To devise and manage a system for valuation of residential properties and collaterals for the HKMC’s Mortgage Insurance Programme, Mortgage Purchase Programme, Reverse Mortgage Programme and Premium Loan Insurance Scheme;
  • To provide independent and professional advice on valuation and land related matters for Hong Kong properties in relation to the businesses of the HKMC Group;
  • To conduct research and analysis of Hong Kong properties;
  • To monitor and assess future outlook of Hong Kong property market so as to identify any potential market risk;
  • To assist in planning and execution of financial and operational strategy; and
  • To handle ad-hoc projects as and when required.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Surveying, Real Estate or related disciplines with relevant professional qualification such as Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors in the General Practice Division, or equivalent;
  • A minimum of 5 years’ appropriate post-qualification experience in valuation and research in Hong Kong property market, relevant experience in financial services is an advantage;
  • Solid knowledge in Hong Kong property market and relevant Ordinances / regulations;
  • Mature, meticulous, responsible and able to work under pressure, tight timeline and independently with strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese with strong report writing and communication skills; and
  • Proficient in PC applications including MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.

 

Candidates with less experience will be considered for the position of Manager.

Operations 2 Department

Associate (Loans Operations)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Operations Department for serving the HKMC, its subsidiaries and subsidiary undertakings (the HKMC Group).

 

Job Descriptions
  • To handle microfinance and reverse mortgage loan applications and related operational and administrative support tasks;
  • To prepare loan documentation, and follow up loan administration and delinquency management tasks;
  • To handle hotline enquiries;
  • To liaise and coordinate with the business counterparts;
  • To perform ad hoc projects/ assignments; and
  • The employment will be on a contract basis subject to renewal.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder or above;
  • A minimum of 1 year’s experience in banking or financial industry is preferred;
  • Attention to details, high degree of accuracy, able work independently, under pressure  and meet tight deadlines;
  • Self-motivated, proactive working attitude and eager to learn;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); and
  • Proficient in Excel, Work and Chinese Word processing.

Associate (Mortgage Administration and Servicing)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Operations Department for serving the HKMC, its subsidiaries and subsidiary undertakings (the HKMC Group).

 

Job Descriptions
  • To perform loan administrations, credit assessment and loan enforcement duties;
  • To monitor the performance of appointed servicers and agents;
  • To prepare various management statistics and reports;
  • To provide support on ad hoc tasks or projects; and
  • The employment will be on a contract basis subject to renewal.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Finance, Business Administration or equivalent;
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in mortgage loan administrations is preferred;
  • Experience in mortgage credit assessment, loan enforcement and reverse mortgage operations would be an advantage;
  • A team player with positive thinking;
  • Good command of spoken English and Chinese, proficiency in Putonghua will be an asset; and
  • Strong PC skills in MS Excel and MS Access.

Risk Management Department

Manager (Enterprise Risk)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Risk Management Department for serving the HKMC, its subsidiaries and subsidiary undertakings (the HKMC Group).

 

Job Descriptions
  • Formulate and maintain enterprise risk management (ERM) frameworks and policies for the HKMC Group, including risk appetite statement;
  • Communicate and liaise effectively with all stakeholders for the implementation of ERM governance, standards and procedures;
  • Support the implementation of risk-based capital regime ;
  • Conduct research to keep abreast of regulatory requirements and market practices; and
  • Prepare risk management reports and papers to Risk Committees.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Risk Management, Finance, Business, or equivalent;
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of risk management or related discipline.  
  • Good understanding in local or international regulatory requirements for banks or insurance companies;
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills; and
  • Well-organised and detail-oriented.

 

Candidates with less experience will be considered for the position of Deputy Manager.

Treasury Department

Manager (Treasury - Funding and Investor Relations)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Treasury Department for serving the HKMC, its subsidiaries and subsidiary undertakings (the HKMC Group).

 

Job Descriptions

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, the successful candidate will handle the funding and investor relations activities for the Corporation. Main responsibilities are:

 

  • To arrange funding through local and overseas debt issuance;
  • To liaise with credit rating agencies and manage banking and investor relationship;
  • To coordinate with in-house and external counsels in reviewing debt issuance programme documentation; and
  • To provide support on research and market analysis relating to treasury and securitisation activities as well as departmental compliance matters.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder preferably in Finance or equivalent, a higher degree or related professional qualification such as CFA or FRM is an added advantage;
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in debt capital market or corporate treasury;
  • Solid treasury product knowledge and strong market network;
  • Good interpersonal and presentation skills, detail-oriented, ability to meet deadlines under pressure and with strong initiative to manage projects and deals; and
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.

HKMC Annuity Limited

Senior Manager (Business and Channel Development)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to assist in the operation of HKMC Annuity Plan (the Plan). The Plan is operated by HKMC Annuity Limited (HKMCA), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation Limited and the individuals will be appointed directly by the HKMCA.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To drive and implement business and channel development initiatives in accordance with the regulatory framework and the corporate governance standard;
  • To enforce sales governance across the channel development teams and to ensure sales guidelines and sales process meet regulatory requirements;
  • To facilitate sales monitoring in all fronts, and to design and generate sales reports as means of management information provision;
  • To provide effective sales and administrative support to the channel development teams; and
  • To lead or participate in various projects as assigned from time to time.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder with a minimum of 10 years’ solid experience in insurance industry;
  • With Insurance Intermediaries Qualification Papers 1 & 3 and other professional certification is preferred;
  • Sound knowledge in life insurance product and sales-related regulations;
  • Solid experience of channel development in insurance market; and
  • Good problem solving, analytical and communication skills.

Manager (Compliance)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to assist in the operation of HKMC Annuity Plan (the Plan). The Plan is operated by HKMC Annuity Limited (HKMCA), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation Limited and the individuals will be appointed directly by the HKMCA.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To assist in operating the compliance programme, including compliance risk identification and monitoring, compliance audit, compliance training and testing, compliance reporting and other compliance-related matters;
  • To assist in using subscribed databases in conducting anti-money laundering/counter-terrorist/sanctions screening;
  • To handle a full range of administrative and support duties including co-ordinating meetings, preparing documents, monitoring transactions, handling bills and internal claims processes, managing filing systems; and
  • To perform legal research in various areas of laws.

 

Requirements
  • Diploma in compliance, degree in law or accounting preferred;
  • A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience gained in financial institutions (in particular, insurance companies), major corporations, law firms, accounting firms or in-house legal or compliance department of major organisations;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese and strong PC skills (Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Word including Chinese word-processing);
  • Attention to accuracy and detail, mature and ability to work independently under pressure; and
  • Good administration, co-ordination, interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.

HKMC Insurance Limited

Senior Associate (SME Financing Guarantee Scheme - Operations)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to assist in the operation of a SME Financing Guarantee Scheme (the Scheme). The Scheme will be operated by HKMC Insurance Limited (HKMCI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation Limited and the individuals will be appointed directly by the HKMCI.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To conduct vetting on applications under the SME Financing Guarantee Scheme (“SFGS”);
  • To monitor application processing progress to meet target turnaround time;
  • To support formulation of internal operating procedures and process re-engineering exercises;
  • To conduct financial calculation and data analysis with MS Excel and Access;
  • To provide administrative support to the SFGS operations;
  • To participate in ad hoc duties or projects; and
  • The employment will be on contract basis subject to renewal.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline;
  • A minimum of 3 years’ solid experience in commercial banks or financial institutions;
  • Knowledge in SME lending practices and banking products, regulatory requirements, accounting principles and financial statement analysis;
  • Attention to details, high degree of accuracy, able to work independently, under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
  • Self-motivated, proactive working attitude, eager to learn and willing to take up new responsibilities;
  • Strong analytical, organising and communication skills;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and
  • Proficient in computer operation including MS Word and MS Excel, knowledge in MS Access an added advantage.
