Life Annuity Scheme

Senior Associate (Life Annuity Scheme – Customer Relations)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to assist in the operation of a life annuity scheme (the Scheme). The Scheme is operated by HKMC Annuity Limited (HKMCA), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation Limited and the individuals will be appointed directly by the HKMCA.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To assess and investigate customer issues and complaints in a timely manner;
  • To conduct trend and root cause analysis of complaint cases and customer concerns, identify and drive improvement actions or remedies;
  • To provide coaching and assistance to Customer Service Centre staff; and
  • To perform ad hoc tasks as required.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder with a minimum of 3 years’ relevant working experience in customer service or complaint management in life insurance industry;
  • Solid experience in handling enquiries and complaints from regulators and government bodies;
  • Familiar with policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements for life insurance and insurance professional qualifications is an advantage;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); and
  • Good problem solving skills, able to work independently and under pressure.

Associate (Human Resources)

Job Descriptions
  • To provide support to various HR functions including compensation and benefits administration, recruitment, staff training and employee relations;

Legal Office

Manager (Legal Office)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Legal Office for serving the HKMC, its subsidiaries and subsidiary undertakings (the HKMC Group).

 

Job Descriptions
  • To assist in operating the compliance programme, including compliance risk identification and monitoring, compliance audit, compliance training and testing, and compliance-related matters;
  • To perform legal research in various areas of laws; and
  • To handle a full range of administrative and secretarial duties including co-ordinating meetings, preparing documents, monitoring transactions, handling bills and internal claims processes, managing filing systems and other support duties.

 

Requirements
  • Diploma in compliance, degree in law or accounting preferred;
  • A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience gained in financial institutions, major corporations, law firms, accounting firms or in-house legal or compliance department of major organisations;

Job Descriptions
  • To provide secretarial and administrative support to the Legal Office including coordinating meetings and training, handling internal bills and reimbursement processes, managing filing systems, and other support duties; and
  • The incumbent will report to Senior Manager of the Legal Office and the employment will be on a contract basis subject to renewal.

 

Requirements
  • A minimum of 1 year’s relevant experience gained in financial institutions, major corporations, law firms or in-house legal department of major organisations;
  • Good administration, coordination, interpersonal, communication, research and organisational skills;

Mortgage Insurance Department

Deputy Manager (Mortgage Insurance – Credit Operations)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to assist in the operation of the Mortgage Insurance Programme, Reverse Mortgage Programme and Premium Loan Insurance Scheme (the Programmes). The Programmes will be operated by HKMC Insurance Limited (HKMCI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation Limited and the individuals will be appointed directly by the HKMCI.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To liaise with authorized institutions and reinsurers on application and servicing processes for Mortgage Insurance Programme, Reverse Mortgage Programme and Premium Loan Insurance Scheme;
  • To handle claim administration under the insurance policy;
  • To keep track of mortgage portfolio by producing statistical reports to supervisors;
  • To devise system user requirement and conduct user acceptance test; and
  • To assist in reviewing internal control of operations and devising servicing workflow.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Business Administration, Finance or equivalent;
  • A minimum of 8 years’ mortgage operations experience;
  • Sound knowledge of Hong Kong mortgage and property market;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Good command of spoken English and Chinese, proficiency in Putonghua will be an asset; and
  • Strong PC skills in MS Excel and MS Access.

Candidates with less experience will be considered for the position of Assistant Manager.

Manager / Deputy Manager (SME Financing Guarantee Scheme – Business Communication)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to assist in the operation of a SME Financing Guarantee Scheme (the Scheme). The Scheme will be operated by HKMC Insurance Limited (HKMCI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation Limited and the individuals will be appointed directly by the HKMCI.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To manage and maintain effective communication with external counterparties and internal departments on the development of the SME Financing Guarantee Scheme (“SFGS”), including application processing, guarantee administration, claim processing and business promotions;
  • To manage customer service hotline and handle complaints;
  • To assist in seminars and training sessions offered to participating lenders and SME associations; and
  • To participate in ad hoc duties or projects.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Finance, Business Administration, Marketing or related discipline;
  • A minimum of 5 years' solid experience in SME or commercial lending with reputable Authorized Institutions;
  • Attention to details, high degree of accuracy, able to work independently, under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
  • Self-motivated, proactive working attitude, eager to learn and willing to take up new responsibilities;
  • Strong analytical, organising and communication skills and management capability;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and
  • Proven experience in preparation of business correspondence and good telephone manner is an added advantage.

Assistant Manager (SME Financing Guarantee Scheme – Claims Processing & Due Diligence)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to assist in the operation of a SME Financing Guarantee Scheme (the Scheme). The Scheme will be operated by HKMC Insurance Limited (HKMCI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation Limited and the individuals will be appointed directly by the HKMCI.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To handle claim requests under the SME Financing Guarantee Scheme (“SFGS”), perform due diligence and compliance review and reconciliation of claim amounts;
  • To devise, implement and monitor debt recovery strategies in order to maximise recovery return;
  • To perform timely tracking, controlling and reporting of claim and debt recovery actions and provide administrative support to the SGFS operation; and
  • The employment will be on a contract basis subject to renewal.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline;
  • A minimum of 3 years’ solid experience in SME lending, credit analysis or debt recovery;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and
  • Proficient in computer operation and good spreadsheet skills is an added advantage.

The Scheme will be operated by HKMC Insurance Limited (HKMCI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation Limited and the individuals will be appointed directly by the HKMCI.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To perform guarantee administration duties under the SME Financing Guarantee Scheme (“SFGS”), including processing and verification of monthly reports, reconciliation of guarantee fees receivable from participating lenders and annual renewal of guarantees;
  • To support MIS reports and document management services;
  • To support ad hoc projects; and
  • The employment will be on a contract basis subject to renewal.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline;
  • A minimum of 1 year's solid experience in SME lending with reputable Authorized Institutions;

Senior Associate / Associate (Loan Administration and Servicing Monitoring)

Job Descriptions
  • To handle loan administration functions, including customer hotline, payment collection / monthly payouts, loan modification, prepayment, security documentation and insurance administration;
  • To handle full prepayment requests from customers or solicitor firms and release of mortgage;
  • To handle loan applications including follow up of documents for approval, checking of documents and loan disbursement;
  • To support acquisition of loan assets and monitoring of loan servicing activities;
  • To handle services provided by financial institution, such as insurance front office and back office;
  • To conduct financial calculation and data analysis with MS Excel and Access;
  • To work on ad hoc duties or projects; and
  • The employment will be on a contract basis subject to renewal.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Finance, Business Administration or related discipline;
  • A minimum of 3 years’ solid experience in operations of consumer or commercial lending facilities with reputable Authorized Institutions or financial institutions;
  • Attention to details with high degree of accuracy;
  • Responsible, self-motivated with proactive working attitude, eager to learn and to take up new responsibilities;
  • Strong analytical skills, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;

Assistant Manager (Operational Risk)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Risk Management Department for serving the HKMC, its subsidiaries and subsidiary undertakings (the HKMC Group).

 

Job Descriptions
  • To assist in devising and maintaining effective operational risk management framework and policies for the Corporation;
  • As the second line-of-defence to work with operational departments to ensure proper risk controls are put in place;
  • To support and prepare reporting and materials for the Operational Risk Committee of the Corporation; and
  • To conduct researches and participate in projects and tasks relating to operational risk areas.

 

Requirements

Assistant Manager / Senior Associate (Counterparty Credit Risk and Market Risk)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Risk Management Department for serving the HKMC, its subsidiaries and subsidiary undertakings (the HKMC Group).

 

Job Descriptions
  • To assist with credit risk management of counterparties (including banks, insurers, large corporate, infrastructure finance and sovereigns etc.) and monitor of counterparty limit in middle office;
  • To assist with market risk management (including interest rate risk, currency risk, asset-liability mismatch risk, liquidity risk etc.);
  • To conduct financial review and internal rating assessment on counterparties;
  • To monitor the credit standing of our counterparties and review their counterparty limits; and
  • To conduct stress testing on counterparty credit risk and market risk under insurance and banking capital regime.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder preferably in finance, economics, risk management, accounting or equivalent;
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in counterparty credit risk management or related discipline;
  • Good knowledge in counterparty credit risk management, treasury and insurance products is an advantage;
  • Analytical and self-motivated;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Access and Bloomberg.
