Established in March 1997, the Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation Limited (HKMC) is wholly owned by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government through the Exchange Fund. The missions of the HKMC are to promote stability of the banking sector, wider home ownership, development of the local debt market and development of the retirement planning market.

 

The HKMC, its subsidiaries and subsidiary undertakings (the HKMC Group) engage in asset purchase, mortgage and insurance business in Hong Kong and operate in the market on the basis of prudent commercial principles. Associate (Human Resources)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Administration and Human Resources Department for serving the HKMC Group.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To provide support to various HR functions including recruitment, compensation and benefits administration, staff training and employee relations;

Information Technology Department

Senior Associate (System Analyst / Analyst Programmer - Application Development)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Information Technology Department for serving the HKMC Group.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To engage in roles of system design, development and implementation of business application systems in line with the Corporation’s business development;
  • To work closely with business departments on gathering and analysing user requirements, designing and developing system solutions, and preparation of system documentations during different stages of the projects;
  • To take part in the development and support of other application areas such as infrastructure financing, loans, insurance and MIS reporting; and
  • The employment will be on contract basis subject to renewal.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Computer Science or related disciplines;
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the development, implementation and support of application systems, preferably in banking, finance and insurance industries;
  • Experience in some of the following technologies is highly desirable:
    • Oracle DBMS, PL/SQL;
    • Java, C/C++, Unix / Windows scripts;
    • JSP & Struts framework;
    • Crystal Reports, JasperReports, SQL Server Reporting;
    • MS Access VBA; and
    • Oracle Forms and Reports.
  • Prior exposure in development or implementation of the following system application areas an advantage:
    • Treasury and risk management systems; and
    • Accounting, banking and insurance systems;
  • Ability to perform requirements analysis, design, development and systems implementation with minimal supervision;
  • Analytic and problem solving skills; and

Job Descriptions
  • To perform system and application administration, with a focus on Java-based and in-house developed applications;
  • To perform basic database administration and operation;
  • To provide application support (such as Weblogic application server and in-house developed applications) and DayEnd job support;
  • To perform data backup operations; and

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Computer Science or related discipline;
  • 1 to 3 years' hands-on experience in the following:

Legal Office

Associate (Legal Office)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Legal Office for serving the HKMC Group.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To provide internal administrative support to the Legal Office;
  • To prepare correspondences and legal documents; and
  • To perform legal research and updates in various areas of laws.

 

Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience gained in law firms, legal department of financial institutions or corporate service providers;

Senior Manager (Marketing and Business Development)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Marketing and Business Development Department for serving the HKMC Group.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To lead and implement business development and marketing projects;
  • To establish relationships with internal departments and business partners to ensure smooth and efficient launch of major business transactions and marketing initiatives;
  • To identify business opportunities and expand distribution channels of business initiatives for the corporation;
  • To prepare and make presentations to business partners and general public;
  • To keep abreast of market trends and provide timely update and analysis to management; and

Requirements
  • Degree holder or above, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or related disciplines;
  • A minimum of 8 years of solid experience in business development and/or marketing in banking/finance industry, of which 5 years in managerial level;
  • In-depth knowledge of financial products with analytical mind and business acumen;

Job Descriptions

Requirements

Operations Department

Senior Associate / Associate (Loan Administration)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Operations Department for serving the HKMC Group.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To handle loan application, eligibility assessment, security document execution, loan origination and loan portfolio acquisition;
  • To perform loan administration, payment processing, loan documentation and customer service duties;
  • To liaise with and monitor the performance of the appointed servicers and agents;
  • To prepare management statistics and reports;
  • To provide support for ad-hoc tasks and projects; and

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Finance, Business Administration or equivalent;
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience in mortgage loan administrations is preferred;
  • Experience in loan origination, loan recovery and reverse mortgage operations would be an advantage;
  • Good command of spoken English and Chinese, proficiency in Putonghua will be an asset;
  • Strong PC skills in MS Excel and MS Access; and
  • A team player with positive thinking.

  • To design and construct ad-hoc data mining, analysis and reporting;
  • To recommend and implement new processes, business process reengineering initiatives, operational risk mitigation and maintenance of policy & procedural manuals; and

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Information Systems, Management, Finance, Accounting or related discipline, a higher degree is an advantage but not essential. Candidates with dual degree in business and IT would be preferred;
  • Solid knowledge and experience in banking products, system development cycle and UAT would be an advantage;
  • Attentive to details, high degree of accuracy, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
  • A team player with positive thinking;

Risk Management Department

Manager (Enterprise Risk)

Job Descriptions
  • Formulate and maintain enterprise risk management (ERM) frameworks and policies for the HKMC Group, including risk appetite statement;
  • Communicate and liaise effectively with all stakeholders for the implementation of ERM governance, standards and procedures;
  • Support the implementation of risk-based capital regime;
  • Conduct research to keep abreast of regulatory requirements and market practices; and
  • Prepare risk management reports and papers to Risk Committees.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Risk Management, Finance, Business, or equivalent;
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of risk management or related discipline; 
  • Good understanding in local or international regulatory requirements for banks or insurance companies;
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills; and
  • Well-organised and detail-oriented.

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to assist in the operation of the SME Financing Guarantee Scheme (the Scheme). The Scheme is operated by HKMC Insurance Limited (HKMCI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation Limited and the individuals will be appointed directly by HKMCI.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To handle claim requests under the SFGS, perform due diligence and reconciliation of claim amounts;
  • To monitor debt recovery actions carried out by lenders;
  • Provide administrative support to the SFGS operation; and

Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline;
