Established in March 1997, The Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation Limited (HKMC) is wholly owned by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government through the Exchange Fund. The missions of the HKMC are to promote stability of the banking sector, wider home ownership, development of the local debt market and development of the retirement planning market.

 

The HKMC, its subsidiaries and subsidiary undertakings (the HKMC Group) engage in asset purchase and servicing, general insurance (including mainly mortgage insurance, reverse mortgage and SME financing guarantee businesses) and life insurance businesses in Hong Kong, and operate in the market on the basis of prudent commercial principles. Administration and Human Resources Department

Manager (Administration and Human Resources)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Administration and Human Resources Department to serve the HKMC Group.

 

Job Descriptions
  • Assist in various human resources functions including recruitment, benefits administration and performance management;
  • Provide employee relations related support including organising staff activities and voluntary service initatives;
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant labor ordinance and regulations;
  • Participate in various HR projects and ad hoc tasks as assigned from time to time; and 
  • The employment will be on a 2-year contract term, subject to renewal.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related discipline;

Financial Control Department

Manager (Accounting and Financial Reporting)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Financial Control Department for serving the HKMC Group.

 

Job Descriptions
  • Support accounting for different products of the Corporation and its subsidiaries;
  • Assist month-end closing works and perform reconciliations between accounting system and business systems as well as bank reconciliations;
  • Support preparation of financial statements of the company and its subsidiaries;
  • Participate in the design, testing and implementation of system automation for new products and new accounting standards; and
  • Support external audits and any ad hoc duties as assigned.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline with recognised professional qualification;
  • A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience, with experience in insurance / banking industry an advantage;
  • Good knowledge of banking / insurance business and interested in dealing with different systems;
  • Familiar with latest accounting standards with knowledge in insurance accounting and regulatory requirements an advantage;
  • Strong analytical skills and good communication skills;
  • Self-motivated, independent and able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; and

Infrastructure Financing and Securitisation

Placement Trainee (Infrastructure Financing and Securitisation)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Infrastructure Financing and Securitisation (IFS) Division for serving the HKMC Group. On a full-time basis, the candidate will have the opportunity to acquire valuable on-the-job exposure to various IFS functions, as well as training and learning opportunities for the career development in the IFS field.

 

Job Descriptions
  • Support the loan administration function of the IFS Division. Detailed scope of the job will include, among others:
  • Support data submission into the loan system;
  • Assist in loan administration matters at transaction closing;
  • Support system development of the loan system;
  • Conduct information research as and when required;
  • Assist in ad hoc assignments as required; and
  • Support portfolio management, securitisation and other functions within IFS.

 

Requirements
  • Recent graduates or final year university student with an intention to complete the university programme within 1 to 2 years;
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent (for undergraduate candidates), or graduation with at least second class (for graduate candidates);
  • University graduates with major in Finance, Business Administration/ Commerce, Risk Management, Computer Science/ Engineering or other related discipline;

Marketing and Business Development Department

Manager (Marketing and Business Development)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Marketing and Business Development Department for serving the HKMC Group.

 

Job Descriptions
  • Perform data analysis for HKMC product development, including the "HKMC Retire 3", in the areas of customer profiling, application processing and marketing initiatives to identify business opportunities, as well as compile statistical reports with extensive data tabulations;
  • Formulate and monitor business activities of HKMC products to improve business performance;
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to devise effective platforms and to ensure deliverables are meeting the business requirements;
  • Keep abreast of market trends and changes to the regulatory environment of retirement products; and
  • The employment will be on contract basis subject to renewal.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder or above, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Information System, Statistics or related discipline;
  • A minimum of 5 years' solid experience in business analysis and database management, preferably in the financial sector;
  • Strong proficiency in advanced MS Excel and MS Access skills in handling complex data preparation, tabulation and reporting tasks;
  • Hands-on experience in data visualization and reporting tools is highly preferred, e.g. MS Power Bl;
  • In-depth knowledge of financial products with analytical mind and business acumen;
  • Strong presentation and problem-solving skills;
  • Self-motivated, detail-minded and able to work independently; and

Operations Department

Deputy Manager (Operations)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Operations Department for serving the HKMC Group.

 

Job Descriptions
  • Supervise the operational staff to perform loan origination, administration and enforcement duties for mortgage loan;

  • Supervise the operational staff to monitor the performance of appointed services and agents;
  • Prepare management statistics and reports;
  • Provide support on ad hoc tasks and projects; and
  • The employment will be on contract basis subject to renewal.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Finance, Business Administration or equivalent;

  • A minimum of 7 years' experience in mortgage loan operations;
  • Experience in loan origination, reverse mortgage operations and enforcement would be an advantage;
  • Good command of spoken English and Chinese, proficiency in Putonghua will be an asset;
  • Strong PC skills in MS Excel and MS Access; and
  • A team player with positive thinking.

Risk Management Department

Assistant Manager

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Risk Management Department to serve the HKMC Group.

 

Job Descriptions
  • Conduct pre-approval credit review on applications;
  • Conduct the due diligence review on SFGS claims;
  • Monitor and assess all the credit policies of participating lenders applicable for SFGS applications;
  • Assist in risk reporting of SFGS credit performance; and
  • Assist in ad hoc risk-related project.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in business, economics, risk management, accounting or related discipline;
  • A minimum of 2 years relevant working experience in commercial banking;
  • Experience in credit risk management in commercial lending or SFGS is an advantage;

Treasury Department

Manager (ALM and Investment)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Treasury Department to serve the HKMC Group.

 

Job Descriptions
  • Perform Asset-Liability Management (ALM) by monitoring and managing different risk exposures, including interest rate, basis, maturity mismatch, liquidity and FX risks;
  • Assist investment management of fixed-income portfolios;
  • Monitor the cash flow and liquidity positions;
  • Execute treasury transactions including money market, fixed-income investing, FX, swap and derivatives;
  • Work closely with Funding & Investor Relations Team for supporting the debt issuance activities;
  • Support scenario, sensitivity, simulation and trend analyses for ALM portfolio re-balancing;
  • Conduct macro-economic and market researches to facilitate strategy formulation and keep up-to-date market development; and
  • Provide support for ad hoc projects of systems and process enhancements.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in relevant discipline (preferably in Finance & Economics), a higher degree or related professional qualification such as CFA or FRM is an advantage but not essential;
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in bank or corporate treasury with strong knowledge in financial market;
  • Solid treasury products knowledge in MM, FX, swaps, derivatives, and fixed-income;
  • A competent team player and self-starter to work independently with strong analytical mind and sense of duty;
  • Personally organised with high level of deliberation;
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with excellent written, oral and presentation skills in English and Chinese; and
  • Proficient in PC applications, Bloomberg and Reuters.

HKMC Insurance Limited

Manager (Compliance)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the compliance function to serve the HKMC Group. The individuals will be appointed directly by HKMC Insurance Limited (HKMCI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation Limited.

 

Job Descriptions
  • Assist in implementation of the compliance programme (including compliance risk identification and monitoring, compliance audit, compliance reporting and other compliance-related matters) across the business lines;
  • Assist in maintaining a robust compliance framework in compliance with the Insurance Ordinance and other regulatory requirements, including policies and procedures, control and monitoring measures, customer data and privacy;
  • Perform financial crime compliance tasks (including anti-money laundering/counter-terrorist/sanctions risk assessment, transaction screening using subscribed databases, review and submission of suspicious transaction reports);
  • Provide compliance advice and support to business and operation units;
  • Assist in communications with regulators and law enforcement agencies; and
  • Handle ancillary administrative and support duties and ad hoc compliance projects as assigned.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Law, Accounting or related disciplines;
  • Professional qualification (such as AAMLP/CAMLP, ACAMS, ICA Diploma, HKICPA) is an advantage;
  • A minimum of 5 years in banking or insurance industry, major corporations, law firms or accounting firms with exposure to regulatory compliance, financial crime compliance, audit, risk and control management;
  • Good sense of project ownership, proactive and independent attitude, attention to detail, high degree of accuracy, strong analytical and problem-solving skills and able to work under pressure;

The Schemes are operated by HKMC Insurance Limited (HKMCI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation Limited.

 

Job Descriptions
  • Perform guarantee administration and loan operation duties under the SME Financing Guarantee Scheme ("SFGS"), 100% Personal Loan Guarantee Scheme ("PLGS") and Dedicated 100% Loan Guarantee Scheme (“DLGS”), including verification of monthly reports, reconciliation of guarantee fees from participating lenders, annual renewal of guarantees and processing of remittances to / from services;
  • Support Management Information System Reports (MIS reports) and document management services;
  • Support ad hoc projects; and
  • The employment will be on a contract basis subject to renewal.

 

Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline;
  • With a minimum of 2 years' solid experience in SME lending, personal lending, and/or loan administration with reputable Authorized Institutions;
  • Attention to details, high degree of accuracy, able to work independently, under pressure and meet tight deadlines;

Job Descriptions
  • Handle hotline enquiries and complaints for Mortgage Insurance Programme, Reverse Mortgage Programme and Policy Reverse Mortgage Programme;
  • Support daily application processing;
  • Liaise with mortgage underwriters and relevant parties to process customers’ requests;
  • Perform data entry and general office administration duties; and
  • Handle any ad-hoc projects to be assigned by supervisors.

 

Requirements
  • Diploma or above with a minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in handling enquiry hotline or providing customer service, preferably in financial institutions;

  • Good command of spoken English and Chinese, proficiency in Putonghua will be an asset;

  • Good customer service orientation with excellent communication and proactive problem solving skills; and

  • Strong analytical skill and proficient in PC/spreadsheet applications.
