Established in March 1997, the Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation Limited (HKMC) is wholly owned by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government through the Exchange Fund. The missions of the HKMC are to promote stability of the banking sector, wider home ownership, development of the local debt market and development of the retirement planning market.

 

The HKMC, its subsidiaries and subsidiary undertakings (the HKMC Group) engage in asset purchase, mortgage and insurance business in Hong Kong and operate in the market on the basis of prudent commercial principles. Legal Office

Company Secretarial Manager

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Legal Office for serving the HKMC Group.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To be a key member of the HKMC Group's company secretarial team responsible for company secretarial duties;
  • To handle and advise on corporate governance matters;
  • To ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory filing and reporting requirements, including compliance with the Companies Ordinance, the Insurance Ordinance and other relevant statutory and regulatory requirements;
  • To be responsible for organising board meetings, board committee meetings and shareholders' meetings, including drafting related documents and preparing meeting minutes;
  • To prepare or to assist in preparing directors' reports, annual reports, corporate governance reports and other corporate documents; and
  • To conduct research on company secretarial and corporate governance matters.

 

Requirements
  • A minimum of seven years' solid company secretarial and preferably general corporate experience gained in insurance companies, financial institutions, major corporations or law firms;
  • Associate of HKICS or ICSA, preferably a degree holder in law, accounting or corporate governance or other relevant disciplines;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and strong PC skills (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word, including Chinese word processing);
  • Attention to detail, mature and able to work independently under pressure;
  • Good administration, co-ordination, interpersonal, communication and organisational skills; and
  • Knowledge of Hong Kong Listing Rules is preferable but not essential.

 

Candidates with lesser experience may be considered for a junior position.

Risk Management Department

Assistant Manager (Risk-based Capital Regime)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Risk Management Department for serving the HKMC Group.

 

Job Descriptions
  • Support the set-up and implementation of risk-based capital regime;
  • Conduct various assessment and analysis under the regulatory requirements;
  • Monitor the implementation progress and maintain close dialogue with other departments; and
  • Conduct research to keep abreast of regulatory requirements and best market practices.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder preferably in Risk Management, Finance, Economics, Accounting or equivalent;
  • A minimum of two years' experience in the field of risk management or related discipline;
  • Good understanding of local or international regulatory requirements in financial institutions;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • Analytical, self-motivated and with strong sense of responsibility; and
  • Proficient in MS Words and Excel, knowledge in other programming language an added advantage.

HKMC Insurance Limited

Assistant Vice President (Marketing and Business Development)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Marketing and Business Development Department for serving the HKMC Insurance Limited.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To Identify new business initiatives for development of corporate strategy of the Corporation;
  • To lead and implement business development and channel management projects, and monitor the business performance of HKMC products;
  • To set up frontline channels for customer engagement projects;
  • To supervise a team to provide quality service and to promote products to customers; and
  • To expand existing distribution channels and to manage relationships with channel partners to improve business performance.

 

Requirements

 

  • Degree holder or above, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or related disciplines;
  • A minimum of 10 years of solid experience of which 5 years at managerial level in channel management, customer engagement or sales management and exposure in banking or insurance sectors. Experience in setting up frontline channels for an effective and efficient customer journey is preferred;
  • In-depth knowledge of financial products with analytical mind and business acumen. Recognised professional insurance qualification is preferred;
  • Customer-centric, result-oriented and able to deliver under pressure;
  • Excellent presentation, analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills; and
  • Good command in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).

Associate (Customer Service)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Insurance Business Operations Department for serving the HKMC Insurance Limited.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To handle hotline enquiries and complaints for Mortgage Insurance Programme, Reverse Mortgage Programme and Policy Reverse Mortgage Programme;
  • To support daily application processing;
  • To liaise with mortgage underwriters and relevant parties to process customers’ requests;
  • To perform data entry and general office administration duties; and
  • To handle any ad-hoc projects to be assigned by supervisors.

 

Requirements
  • Diploma or above with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in handling enquiry hotline or providing customer service, preferably in financial institutions;
  • Good command of spoken English and Chinese, proficiency in Putonghua will be an asset;
  • Good customer service orientation with excellent communication and proactive problem solving skills; and
  • Strong analytical skill and proficient in PC/spreadsheet applications

Job Descriptions
  • To perform mortgage loan underwriting/approval for Mortgage Insurance Programme (MIP);
  • To liaise with authorized institutions on loan servicing for MIP; and
  • To track loan portfolio performance.

 

Requirements
  • Diploma or above with a minimum of 3 years' solid mortgage underwriting experience, preferably in financial institutions;
  • Keeping abreast of the credit policy and control procedure in mortgage lending;
  • Good command of spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); and
  • Strong analytical skills and proficient in PC/spreadsheet applications.

Manager (SME Financing Guarantee Scheme – Guarantee Administration)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to assist in the operation of the SME Financing Guarantee Scheme (the Scheme). The Scheme is operated by HKMC Insurance Limited (HKMCI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation Limited and the individuals will be appointed directly by HKMCI.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To oversee a team handling post-approval guarantee and loan administration under the SME Financing Guarantee Scheme (SFGS), including processing and verification of reports and statements submitted by participating lenders, reconciliation of fund flows with counterparts, etc.;
  • To coordinate preparation of MIS reports and document management services;
  • To conduct workflow review and prepare user requirements for enhancements on systems and MIS reports to support development of new products under the SFGS; and
  • The employment will be on a contract basis subject to renewal.

 

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management or related discipline;
  • With a minimum of 7 years' solid experience in SME lending, loan administration and business analysis with reputable Authorized Institutions, experience in project management is an added advantage;
  • Attention to details, high degree of accuracy, able to work independently, under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
  • Self-motivated, proactive working attitude, eager to learn and willing to take up new responsibilities;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and
  • Proficient in computer operation including MS Word and MS Excel, knowledge in MS Access is an advantage.

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to assist in the operation of the SME Financing Guarantee Scheme (the Scheme). The Scheme is operated by HKMC Insurance Limited (HKMCI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation Limited and the individuals will be appointed directly by HKMCI.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To handle claim requests under the SME Financing Guarantee Scheme, perform due diligence and reconciliation of claim amounts;
  • To monitor debt recovery actions carried out by lenders;
  • Provide administrative support to the SFGS operation;
  • To provide support for ad hoc assignments or projects e.g. process review, system enhancements; and
  • The employment will be on a contract basis subject to renewal.

 

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline;
  • A minimum of 3 years' solid experience in SME credit analysis;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and
  • Proficient in computer operation.

 

Candidate with less experience will be considered for the position of Senior Associate.
