Established in March 1997, The Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation Limited (HKMC) is wholly owned by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government through the Exchange Fund. The missions of the HKMC are to promote stability of the banking sector, wider home ownership, development of the local debt market and development of the retirement planning market.

 

The HKMC, its subsidiaries and subsidiary undertakings (the HKMC Group) engage in asset purchase and servicing, general insurance (including mainly mortgage insurance, reverse mortgage and SME financing guarantee businesses) and life insurance businesses in Hong Kong, and operate in the market on the basis of prudent commercial principles. Administration and Human Resources Department

Deputy Manager (Compensation and Benefits)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Administration and Human Resources Department to serve the HKMC Group.

 

Job Descriptions
  • Handle full cycle of staff compensation and benefits administration including monthly payroll, pay and benefits review, performance and leave management as well as annual tax return;
  • Administer HR Information System;
  • Participate in various HR projects in compensation and benefits, e.g. compensation surveys and data analysis, as assigned from time to time;
  • Support regular HR reports and provide administrative support;
  • Participate in corporate projects and assignments from time to time; and

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related discipline;

Financial Control Department

Manager (System Accounting)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Financial Control Department for serving the HKMC Group.

 

Job Descriptions
  • Participate in designing, developing and testing application systems to support treasury accounting, insurance accounting, and financial forecast;
  • Design and construct ad hoc data analysis and reporting;
  • Support system administration tasks for internal systems and on-line banking;
  • Assist to implement new systems and processes, undertake business process reengineering initiatives, and maintain procedural manuals; and

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or related discipline. Candidates with dual degree in Accounting/Finance and IT would be an advantage;

Information Technology Department

Deputy Manager / Manager (Unix Team)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Information Technology Department for serving the HKMC Group.

 

Job Descriptions
  • Perform Unix and Linux hardware and operating system administration;
  • Perform Oracle & MSSQL database administration, capacity planning and performance tuning;
  • Provide application support (e.g. Weblogic application server and in-house developed applications);
  • Perform DayEnd job support (e.g. Control-M), backup operations and BCP/DR drill exercises;

  • Conceptualise, develop and implement a diverse calendar of events include but not limited to various format of activities to engage customers;

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of business analyst experience in banking industry or related discipline would be preferred;
  • Solid knowledge in banking products, system development cycle and UAT would be an advantage;
  • Self-motivated, proactive working attitude, eager to learn and willing to take up new responsibilities;

Pricing and Quantitative Risk Department

Senior Manager (Pricing and Quantitative Risk)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Pricing and Quantitative Risk Department for serving the HKMC Group.

 

Job Descriptions
  • Develop, enhance and maintain key financial risk models (mainly credit, property price, interest rate and mortality risks) and analytical tools used by various business and risk functions;
  • Perform quantitative analysis on risk and reward profile of mortgage related assets and other long duration financial contracts;
  • Coordinate with all relevant business and supporting functions in analysing the commercial cases and determining the appropriate transaction structure and underlying economic assumptions for pricing of new products/transactions; and
  • Prepare risk analysis presentation for various risk committees.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in a quantitative discipline: Financial Engineering, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning related subjects. Post-graduate degree is an advantage. Candidates with professional qualification from an actuarial body preferred;
  • A minimum of 5 years’ relevant working experience in the financial industry;
  • Strong background and experience in the development, review and validation of quantitative tools; and

Risk Management Department

Assistant Manager

Job Descriptions
  • Conduct pre-approval credit review on applications;
  • Conduct the due diligence review on SFGS claims;
  • Monitor and assess all the credit policies of participating lenders applicable for SFGS applications;

Senior Associate

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Risk Management Department to serve the HKMC Group.

 

Job Descriptions
  • Provide secretarial and administrative support to the Risk Management Department and the Price and Quantitative Department;
  • Set up the logistics of committee meetings in relation to the departments and maintain proper records of meeting materials and minutes at Centralised Corporate Database;
  • Arrange procurement of services / goods, training for the departments; and
  • Keep record of the enterprise-wide key operational risk indicators, incident log and complaint logs for all the departments.

 

Requirements

Treasury Department

Manager (ALM and Investment)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Treasury Department to serve the HKMC Group.

 

Job Descriptions
  • Perform Asset-Liability Management (ALM) by monitoring and managing different risk exposures, including interest rate, basis, maturity mismatch, liquidity and FX risks;
  • Assist investment management of fixed-income portfolios;
  • Monitor the cash flow and liquidity positions;
  • Execute treasury transactions including money market, fixed-income investing, FX, swap and derivatives;
  • Work closely with Funding & Investor Relations Team for supporting the debt issuance activities;
  • Support scenario, sensitivity, simulation and trend analyses for ALM portfolio re-balancing;
  • Conduct macro-economic and market researches to facilitate strategy formulation and keep up-to-date market development; and
  • Provide support for ad hoc projects of systems and process enhancements.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in relevant discipline (preferably in Finance & Economics), a higher degree or related professional qualification such as CFA or FRM is an advantage but not essential;
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in bank or corporate treasury with strong knowledge in financial market;
  • Solid treasury products knowledge in MM, FX, swaps, derivatives, and fixed-income;
  • A competent team player and self-starter to work independently with strong analytical mind and sense of duty;

  • Support product development initiatives, including implementation and on-going development of loan guarantee schemes, such as the SME Financing Guarantee Scheme, the Dedicated 100% Loan Guarantee Schemes for specified sectors to achieve corporate goals;
  • Provide analytical and project management support for product development and implementation of business, PR, risk management and operational initiatives;
  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders; and
  • Undertake ad hoc assignments and projects assigned from time to time.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder or above with major in Finance, Business Administration or related disciplines;
  • Knowledge in credit risk management in commercial lending an added advantage;
  • A minimum of 5 years relevant working experience;
  • Strong analytical and leadership skills, self-motivated, positive work attitude, detail-minded, organised, good at teamwork and excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese, including both Cantonese and Putonghua; and
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially spreadsheet skills.

Senior Associate (Customer Service)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Insurance Business Operations for serving the HKMC, its subsidiaries and subsidiary undertakings (the HKMC Group).

 

Job Descriptions
  • Handle hotline enquiries and complaints for Mortgage Insurance Programme, Reverse Mortgage Programme and Policy Reverse Mortgage Programme;
  • Support daily application processing;
  • Liaise with mortgage underwriters and relevant parties to process customers’ requests;
  • Perform data entry and general office administration duties; and
  • Handle any ad-hoc projects to be assigned by supervisors.

 

Requirements
  • Diploma or above with a minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in handling enquiry hotline or providing customer service, preferably in financial institutions;

  • Good command of spoken English and Chinese, proficiency in Putonghua will be an asset;

  • Good customer service orientation with excellent communication and proactive problem solving skills; and

  • Strong analytical skill and proficient in PC/spreadsheet applications. 

     

    Candidates with less experience will be considered for the position of Associate.
