Established in March 1997, the Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation Limited (HKMC) is wholly owned by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government through the Exchange Fund. The missions of the HKMC are to promote stability of the banking sector, wider home ownership, development of the local debt market and development of the retirement planning market.

 

The HKMC, its subsidiaries and subsidiary undertakings (the HKMC Group) engage in asset purchase, mortgage and insurance business in Hong Kong and operate in the market on the basis of prudent commercial principles. Financial Control Department

Manager (Financial Control)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Financial Control Department for serving the HKMC Group.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To support treasury accounting and reporting functions, including position keeping, valuation, impairment, relevant interim / year-end financial statements disclosures, etc.;
  • To participate in the design, testing and implementation of financial systems automation for new treasury products and new accounting standards;
  • To assist in capital reporting and management; and
  • To support new product developments, external audits and ad hoc duties as assigned.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines with recognised accounting professional qualifications;
  • A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience, with experience in insurance/banking industry as an advantage;
  • Good understanding of latest accounting standards, with knowledge in insurance accounting and regulatory requirements as an advantage;
  • Proficient in PC applications, with knowledge in Oracle and Bloomberg as an advantage;
  • Independent, self-motivated, well-organised, with strong analytical and interpersonal skills; and
  • Excellent communication skills with good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.

Manager (Financial Reporting & Taxation)

Job Descriptions
  • To support accounting for different products of the company and its subsidiaries;
  • To assist month-end closing works and perform reconciliations between accounting system and business systems as well as bank reconciliations;
  • To support preparation of financial statements of the company and its subsidiaries and compilation of regulatory returns;

Requirements

Senior Associate (Financial Control)

Job Descriptions
  • To provide administration support on information and payment systems;

Senior Associate (Financial Control and Treasury)

Senior Associate (System Analyst / Analyst Programmer - Application Development)

Job Descriptions
  • To engage in roles of system design, development, implementation and support of business application systems in line with the Corporation’s business development;
  • To work closely with business departments on gathering and analysing user requirements, designing and developing system solutions, and preparation of system documentations during different stages of the projects;
  • To take part in the development and support of other application areas such as loans, insurance, risk control, accounting and MIS reporting; and

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Computer Science or related disciplines;

Operations Department

Deputy Manager (Process Management and Systems)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Operations Department for serving the HKMC Group.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To participate in designing, developing and testing application systems to support loans and credit guarantee operations, credit management, business transactions and monitoring of portfolio quality;
  • To design and construct ad hoc data analysis and reporting;
  • To recommend and implement new systems and processes, business process reengineering initiatives, operational risk mitigation and maintenance of policy and procedural manuals; and

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Information Systems, Management, Finance or related discipline, a higher degree is an advantage but not essential. Candidates with dual degree in business and IT would be preferred;

Senior Manager / Manager (Insurance Business Operations)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Insurance Business Operations Department for serving the HKMC Insurance Limited.

 

Job Descriptions
  • Taking lead in business initiatives on mortgage insurance and coordinating with internal and external counterparts to oversee the project's achievement of business goals within the pre-defined timeline;

  • To coordinate preparation of MIS reports and document management services;
  • To conduct workflow review and prepare user requirements for enhancements on systems and MIS reports to support development of new products under the schemes; and

Requirements

  • To monitor the application workflow and processing progress so as to meet the target turnaround time;
  • To review the internal operating procedures and process re-engineering exercises;
  • To review financial calculation and data analysis with MS Excel and Access;
  • To supervise document management and digitalisation works and to provide administrative support to the SFGS / PLGS operations;
  • To perform SFGS / PLGS due diligence;
  • To monitor debt recovery on default loans performed by participating lenders and recommend recovery strategy;
  • To participate in ad hoc duties or projects; and

Senior Associate (SME Financing Guarantee Scheme – Business Communications)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to assist in the operations of the SME Financing Guarantee Scheme and the Personal Loan Guarantee Scheme (collectively the Schemes). The Schemes are operated by HKMC Insurance Limited (HKMCI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation Limited.

 

Job Descriptions
  • To support the Senior Managers to maintain effective communication with external counterparties and internal departments on the development of the SME Financing Guarantee Scheme (SFGS) and the 100% Personal Loan Guarantee Scheme (PLGS) and support business promotions;
  • To assist in arranging seminars and training sessions for participating lenders and external stakeholders;
  • To handle customer service hotline and complaints;
  • To participate in ad hoc duties or projects; and
  • The employment will be on a contract basis subject to renewal.

 

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Marketing or related discipline;
  • With 1 to 2 years’ solid experience in SME/ commercial lending or personal lending with reputable Authorized Institutions;
  • Attention to details, high degree of accuracy, able to work independently, under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
  • Self-motivated, proactive working attitude, eager to learn and willing to take up new responsibilities;
  • Strong analytical, organising and communication skills and management capability;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and
  • Good telephone manner is an added advantage.

Job Descriptions
  • To provide support on post-approval guarantee and/or loan administration under various loan and guarantee schemes, including processing and verification of reports and statements submitted by participating lenders, handling of daily remittances, reconciliation of fund flows with counterparts, etc.;
  • To support preparation of MIS reports and document management services;
  • To support ad hoc projects; and
  • The employment will be on a contract basis subject to renewal.

 

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline;
  • With a minimum of 2 years' solid experience in SME lending, personal lending, and/or loan administration with reputable Authorized Institutions;
  • Attention to details, high degree of accuracy, able to work independently, under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
  • Self-motivated, proactive working attitude, eager to learn and willing to take up new responsibilities;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and
  • Proficient in computer operation including MS Word and MS Excel, knowledge in MS Access is an added advantage.
