Established in March 1997, The Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation Limited (HKMC) is wholly owned by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government through the Exchange Fund. The missions of the HKMC are to promote stability of the banking sector, wider home ownership, development of the local debt market and development of the retirement planning market.

 

The HKMC, its subsidiaries and subsidiary undertakings (the HKMC Group) engage in asset purchase and servicing, general insurance (including mainly mortgage insurance, reverse mortgage and SME financing guarantee businesses) and life insurance businesses in Hong Kong, and operate in the market on the basis of prudent commercial principles. Operational and Technology Risk Department

Manager (Operational and Technology Risk)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Operational and Technology Risk Department for serving the HKMC Group.

 

Job Descriptions
  • Assist in developing information security strategy, policy and guideline;
  • Provide information security guidance to business and technical teams;
  • Participate in risk assessment engagements for new or existing IT initiatives and operations by evaluating the security architecture and conducting threat modelling;
  • Apply expertise and problem-solving skills to tackle cybersecurity challenges that span multiple technologies and security domains;
  • Participate in security incident response and investigation; and
  • Research and evaluate latest security threats and technology solution, such as AI, cloud, big data and mobile.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in Computer Science, Information Systems or relevant disciplines;
  • A minimum of 6 years’ experience in information technology, information security, risk management, compliance or IT audit function, preferably gained from banking or financial institutions;

Assistant Manager (Operational Risk Management)

Job Descriptions
  • Formulate and maintain operational risk management (ORM) frameworks and policies for the HKMC Group;
  • Implement ORM governance, standards and procedures;
  • Prepare ORM related reports to risk committees; and

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Risk Management, Finance, Economics, Business or related discipline;

Information Technology Department

Manager (Windows Server Team)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Information Technology Department for serving the HKMC Group.

 

Job Descriptions
  • Perform Windows server / desktop hardware and software support, monitoring, capacity planning and performance tuning;
  • Provide support on Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory technologies;
  • Provide technical support on the VMware infrastructure and NetApp storage;
  • Provide support to core network infrastructure and maintain the integrity and security of corporate network;
  • Provide support to Cloud services e.g. Microsoft Azure AD;
  • Participate in the BCP / DR drill and ensure the systems are recovered in a timely manner;

Infrastructure Financing and Securitisation

Placement Trainee (Infrastructure Financing and Securitisation)

Job Descriptions

Treasury Department

Manager (Treasury)

We are looking for high-calibre individuals to join the Treasury Department to serve the HKMC Group.

 

Job Descriptions
  • Perform Asset-Liability Management (ALM) by monitoring and managing different risk exposures, including interest rate, basis, maturity mismatch, liquidity and FX risks;
  • Assist cash & liquidity management and investment management of fixed-income portfolios;
  • Execute treasury transactions including interest rate swap and cross currency swap, money market, fixed-income investing and FX;
  • Work closely with Funding & Investor Relations Team for supporting the debt issuance activities;
  • Support scenario, sensitivity, simulation and trend analyses for ALM portfolio re-balancing;
  • Conduct macro-economic and market researches to facilitate strategy formulation and keep up-to-date market development;
  • Liaise with IT to support and implement Treasury management system development, customisation and upgrade to drive process automation; and
  • Provide support for ad-hoc projects of systems and process enhancements.

 

Requirements
  • Degree holder in relevant discipline (preferably in Finance & Economics), a higher degree or related professional qualification such as CFA or FRM is an advantage but not essential;
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in bank or corporate treasury with strong knowledge in financial market;
  • Solid treasury products knowledge in MM, FX, swaps, derivatives and fixed-income; 
  • A competent team player and self-starter to work independently with strong analytical mind and sense of duty;
  • Personally organised with high level of deliberation;
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with excellent written, oral and presentation skills in English and Chinese;

Assistant Vice President (Loan Guarantee Schemes – Special Assets Management)

Job Descriptions
  • Formulate and implement recovery strategies for managing non-performing loans and distressed assets, and monitor the quality of special assets management and debt recovery actions carried out by participating lending institutions, including pursuing legal remedies against defaulted borrowers and personal guarantors;
  • Lead a team to work independently in coordinating and facilitating debt workouts, and assessing debt workout or repayment proposals for completion in a timely and efficient manner;
  • Provide supervisory support for team operations, augment team capabilities and improve the quality, efficiency, and precision of team operations by leveraging technologies from time to time;

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our Data Management team in the Digitalisation Office, which is responsible for driving digital transformation and innovation across the organisation. Job Descriptions

Reporting to Assistant Vice President (Data Management, Digitalisation Office), the Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for: 

 

  • Lead the on-going implementation and enhancement of group-wide data analytics platform, including:

       - Enhance existing processes and workflows on the platform in order to speed up the data on-boarding process;

       - Add new data sources, transformation and dashboards for new analytics and reporting use cases; and

       - On-going maintenance and troubleshooting of data issue/problems.

 

  • Act as key data analyst for AI project that used agentic AI to improve efficiency. Gather stakeholder data requirements, collaborate with software engineers to design internal data schemas and interfaces to support the agentic AI application development;
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and data owners to identify data requirements and perform data analysis for new use cases and source data;
